USTA Pro Circuit Event to benefit the Scott Center for Autism Treatment

Indian Harbour Beach, FL, May 28, 2012 – The Florida Beer Company Pro Tennis Tournament presented by Revolution Technologies will kick off at Kiwi Tennis Club, Indian Harbour Beach, June 15 for ten days of world-class singles and doubles tennis. Benefiting the Scott Center for Autism Treatment, players from around the world compete for $10,000 in prize money.  With the success of the USTA Pro Women’s Tennis in Brevard, the USTA Pro Circuit added this men’s tournament to the schedule in 2011. Last year’s champion, Jesse Levine, is currently competing in the French Open, advancing after beating Benjamin Becker in the first round.

The field for the Pro Tennis Tournament will feature 128 singles players in the qualifying draw, 32 singles players in the Main Draw and 16 Main Draw doubles teams beginning June 15.  In addition to tennis, special activities will take place during the event including a Father’s Day Event June 17; Autism Awareness Night, June 19; Florida Tech Night June 22; Aces for Autism Kids Clinic June 23; and nightly Feature Matches June 19-22.

“We continue to work with businesses and organizations in the community to bring professional tennis to Brevard. Each year the support continues to grow and we are excited that the interest in the sport by the community and our sponsors gives tennis fans a way to enjoy professional tennis on a local level,” says Holly Baney, Tournament Director. Baney says the USTA Pro Men’s event will also feature a wild card tournament June 11-13.

With more than 90 tournaments throughout the country and prize money ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, the USTA Men’s Pro Circuit is the pathway to the US Open and tour-level competition for aspiring tennis players and a frequent battleground for established professionals. Last year, more than 1,000 men and women from more than 70 countries competed on the USTA Pro Circuit for approximately $32 million in prize money and valuable ATP World Tour and Sony Erickson WTA Tour ranking points.
